The United Way and Greenville Housing Fund have partnered to establish the Greenville Individual Development Account(IDA) Network which began accepting applications at the beginning of December. The IDA program encourages hardworking individuals and families to save through innovative match savings account opened at local partnering banks and credit unions in order to purchase a home, post-secondary education, or a small business. After reaching their goal, all participants' savings will be matched at a 1:3 rate. The Greenville IDA program has received an ample amount of coverage and support from the local press, especially the Greenville News. There already ten participants in the program who are actively pursuing their dreams of homeownership and further education!
