Greenville Individual Development Account (IDA) Program

Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) are matched savings accounts that help low to moderate income individuals increase their financial stability through the purchase of a long-term assets such as a home, post-secondary education, or a small business. All savings up to $1,000 will be matched at a 3:1 rate. Therefore, when you save $1,000, you will be matched with $3,000 to use towards the purchase of your asset goal. In addition to saving a minimum of $25 a month, you will attend free financial education and asset specific training. IDAs make it easier to bring your dreams for the future into reality! Homebuyer Assistance Program

The Homebuyer Assistance Program provides forgiveable five year loans to lower the purchase price of a home for qualified persons in Greenville County. Greenville Housing Fund will provide up to $3,000 to help assist first time homebuyers with the upfront down payment and closing costs. This program is on a first come, first ready basis. You must already be preapproved for a mortgage by a lender and have selected the house you wish to buy. Employer Assisted Housing/Home from Work Program

The Employer Assisted Housing Program, also known as "Home from Work", partners with local employers who have a desire help to provide safe, affordable housing for their employees close to the workplace. The Greenville Housing Fund and the Greenville Hospital System (GHS) have collaborated to assist employees of the five main GHS campuses achieve their dream of home ownership. The Greenville Housing Fund will match the employees down payment costs 3:1 up to $3,000. Please see more details and application information below.
